Few things scare me. I’m not a big fan of heights, and I won’t hang around a snake long enough to find out what kind it is. But one thing does scare me … loss of control. There was a time in my life I had to control everything. I lived by the saying that if you want something done right, you do it yourself. It allowed me to stay in control (or at least it allowed me to feel I was in control). Looking back I realize every situation I’ve ever needed to control was really just my own fear peeking out — fear of failure or a fear of being embarrased.
