One Simple Way to Jump on the Good Train

August 24, 2018

This world has no shortage of negative information. We are surrounded by it. If the media isn’t in your face sharing all the bad stuff happening throughout the country and your community, you have friends, family, and co-workers who will eagerly unload all their challenges if you ask them how they’re doing.

For the past two decades I have been encouraging audiences around the world to stay focused on the good stuff in a society overwhelmed by negativity. Despite all the bad stuff around us, there is plenty of good stuff in our lives. In fact, we each have the power to change every day conversations by doing one simple thing – stop asking people how they’re doing and ask them to share something good.

Google announced this week that it is jumping on board the “good” train by rolling out the “Hey Google, tell me something good” feature through Google Assistant. Any effort that keeps us focused on the good stuff (the stuff that really matters) is awesome! Great job, Google!

If you have Google Assistant, try it out. If you don’t have Google Assistant, don’t despair. It works without it. In fact, I have witnessed over the past two decades that it works REALLY well from one person to another. Just turn to someone right now, look ‘em in the eye, and say, “Tell Me Somethin’ Good!” You can start enhancing the lives of people around you by getting them focused on the good stuff!

Take a few minutes and check out this video to see how easy it can be:
